Infrastructure has long been a staple in the quest for long term, stable cash flows. In recent times, after COVID threw travel infrastructure valuations to the wind, after Net Zero realigned strategies for energy generation and storage, pent up demand and new technology has driven the emergence of new opportunities in a world looking to ‘build back better’. The predictability of income from historical assets and what future opportunities will reliably manifest remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: communication and cooperation between governments and the private sector will be critical to make investments future ready.
